What is CSA?
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture, a new concept that is sweeping the country. It is a mutually beneficial relationship between a farmer and community members who invest together in the production of fruits, vegetables and/or other agricultural commodities. Members contribute operating capital which reduces the farmer's dependence on commercial lenders. In return, CSA members receive fresh, quality produce throughout the growing season at a significant discount. You can even go together with a friend, family member or neighbor to purchase a membership. A CSA membership is a sensible and exciting gift.
